How internet works part 2

 Hey, everyone, it is the second part of how the internet works?. Until last, we saw only about how the internet works when we search directly the domain in search engine. In this, we are going to see how the search engine works when we search normally.


What is search engine


  The search engine is not a big thing it is a domain on the internet now apps also there. For example google, opera, duck 3duck go, Yahoo, etc.
It gives the results when we search on the internet.


How does the search engine work?


   First, we want to search for anything in the search engine. For example: what is the radius of mars? For this, the search engine starts to search many pages to find the answers. But there the big problem starts. How does the search engine show results in seconds but there are billions of websites and it has many numbers of posts are there on the internet?

How search engine find correct pages within seconds? 


For that, a bot is used namely spider. Yes, the bot is named as a spider because it is dropped in any Page and it starts to take the keywords of the page. And move the linked pages and do like that until the all linked pages are done. The saved keywords are sent to the search index. The bot and search index will work in whenever we update or make any posts. Now back to the topic if we search what is the radius of the mars? In the search index, it starts to find the words that came from the get request (refer part  1) then it finds the pages which have the words. For example {for how there is 1257575 pages are there, for is there is 978887988 pages are there like forever ends.} These all get from the search index. Then it starts to take two words and search the pages than three words and so on. It searches the whole pages and if it has all words in getting request it shows in the results. But how it arranges the page

How does the search engine place the pages in the results?

 The Google uses the type called page rank. It was invented by Larry Page. Co-founder of Google. It has an algorithm which ranks the pages in the result page. It places the pages in the based of how many pages are connected with the page if more it connects it places in the top in the results.

Internet is free but why they charge for internet?

     Internet is free we already seen in the last post but why they charge for internet. Because the internet is transported by optical fibre. To put the optical fibre and for maintaining the optical fibre they charge for the internet.
